Promoting the Arts


The Tipperary Institute Arts Forum was established in January 2000. The aim is to optimize the potential of the TI facilities at Thurles and Clonmel as exhibition centres for both the professional and community arts in providing a forum for the promotion, support and creation of access opportunities to the arts.

Local, national and international artists exhibit and permanent exhibitions include pieces donated from the Foley Collection.

In addition to above, the Arts Forum has led the development of both the TI Reading Club and the TI Film Society, while developing and implementing the Artists Brief in relation to the Per Cent for Art Scheme. Public art is now in place at both campuses.
