| Magical Science Extreme Engineering show at Tipperary Institute | ||
Last Thursday over 500 primary school students attended the annual “Magical Science, Extreme Engineering” show at TI in Thurles. A great day was had by all, (with no smoke alarms going off this time!). We received very positive feedback from all the schools involved. The show was hosted by Sue McGrath, aka “Splooze”. There were three shows held in the conference centre, each lasting approximately an hour.
The Extreme Engineering Road show makes science and engineering simple, relevant and exciting for 10 – 12 year old students. As part of the show, Sue demonstrates how science and engineering impacts on our daily lives as students learn through experiment and discovery, and most of all, fun!
The show was sponsored by Engineers Ireland as the part of the “Steps to Engineering” initiative. www.steps.ie www.iei.ie
