| Irish Times Business 2000 Table Quiz hosted by Tipperary Institute and BSTAI |
Tipperary Institute Business Department is delighted to join forces with the Business Studies Teachers Association of Ireland and the Irish Times Business 2000 yet again to provide second level students of the mid-west region with an opportunity to display their business knowledge at a Table Quiz designed for second year students. Almost three hundred second year business students are expected to travel from twenty six different schools to Thurles to battle it out for the prestigious Tipperary Institute/Irish Times Business 2000/ BSTAI Table Quiz 2008 prize-winners title on Wednesday next 12th November.
Taking learning out of the classroom, and adding an element of fun is the key objective of the day. Teams of four will be tested on key Junior Certificate business fundamentals in addition to general knowledge, with the winners receiving a Plaque for display in their school in addition to gift vouchers courtesy of ESB While all have an opportunity of picking up one of the many spot prizes compliments of Stakelums Office Supplies, Thurles and INFACT (Irish National Federation Against Copyright Theft).
The Table Quiz is a further development of the ongoing collaboration between the Tipperary Institute Business Department and the Business Studies Teachers Association of Ireland (Thurles Branch) and is one of a number of events organised for second level teachers and students during the current academic year. Ms. Caroline McHale, BSTAI, National President welcoming the collaboration stated “It is only appropriate that, we the BSTAI should express our appreciation of the Tipperary Institute and Business 2000 for playing a role in supporting our Business Education.
