Video Games Live ™

Video Games Live

A delegation of students from TI’s Computing Society ‘TippSoc’ attended the musical highlight of 2009 'Video Games Live ™' on Sunday 29th November.

Video Games Live™ is an immersive concert event featuring music from the most popular video games of all time. Top orchestras and choirs perform at the event, along with exclusive video footage and music arrangements, synchronized lighting, solo performers, electronic percussionists, live action and unique interactive segments to create an explosive entertainment experience!

The Video Games Live™ concert is hosted by the video game industry to encourage and support the culture and art that video games have become.  It was created and produced by industry veterans and world famous video game composers Tommy Tallarico and Jack Wall. The event bridges a gap for entertainment by exposing new generations of music lovers and fans to the symphonic orchestral experience while also providing a completely new and unique experience for families and/or non-gamers.

Over two thousand games enthusiasts from all over Ireland descended on the National Concert Hall and were treated to game demos by ‘TippSoc’ at their exhibition stand prior to the show and during intervals.

Tommy Tallarico and Jack WallJack Wall, composer of the AAA game, Mass Effect soundtrack, visited the stand and thanked the Tipperary Institute team for sharing their passion for games as an art form. Jack also thanked the TI team during the show.

Video Games Live ™is the most exciting audio and visual experience ever seen on Irish shores and gamers showed their gratitude by giving numerous standing ovations to Tommy Tallarico and Jack Wall during the performance. An unmissable event for any games enthusiast!
