Tipperary’s Centre for Innovation and Enterprise Development
Tipperary’s Centre for Innovation and Enterprise development engages academic, industry and start up business to advance enterprise development in the Tipperary region. The centre focuses on education, mentoring start up companies, nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship, collaboration with relevant stakeholders and networking.
Tipperary Institute has extensive expertise amongst its academic and research staff, in a wide range of disciplines including business, software development, multimedia technologies, developing human potential, environmental management and renewable energy. The centre provides a framework and environment for entrepreneurs, researchers, academics and policy makers to engage in a mutually complementary manner to support entrepreneurial skill development and the economic growth in the region.
The Institute has been involved in promoting entrepreneurship and enterprise development since its inception in 1998. As an active member of enterprise networks such as South East Enterprise Platform (SEEPP), the Irish Network of Teachers and Researchers in Entrepreneurship (INTRE) and the European Council for Small Business, Tipperary Institute has been involved in a wide range of national and European projects promoting enterprise development, examples of which are as follows:
